Souris Theatre Ad 1946

An advertisement for the Souris Theatre, from 1946. The film playing was "Dangerous Partners".

The Souris Showhall Theatre was initially called St. Patrick's Hall. It was built prior to 1898, however, we are unable to find its date of construction at this time.

George Leard tells us that a concert was held in St. Patrick's Hall on Tuesday, November 15th 1898, which raised around $100 in aid of Souris sidewalks. This concert was put on by local, amateur performers, but talented ones nonetheless. Leard speculates that the family of Marshal Paquet may have been involved, writing that they could "unassisted stage a concert or fill a choir loft with trained melody"[1].
