MacKenzie Motors Souris 1963

MacKenzie Motors, as it apeared on opening day in January of 1963.

MacKenzie Motors was a car dealership and service station located on Main Street in Souris, on the east side the historic Leard's Men's Wear Building. It was owned by Keith and Annie MacKenzie. It was opened on January 17, 1963[1]. Mr. MacKenzie had been selling vehicles since as early as 1954, but became a dealer for Plymouth, Valiant, Chrsyler, and Fargo Trucks with this new opening.

By 1963 the business had expanded twice, and employed seven people[1]. These employees were: Sheldon Dixon, parts manager, Roy Coffin, service manager, John Scott, Lloyd Jackson, and Wendell MacLaren, mechanics, Joe Hennessey, salesman, and Billy Jennings.
